Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) provides behavioural healthcare services for older adults in Ontario with, or at risk of, responsive behaviours/personal expressions associated with dementia, complex mental health, substance use and/or other neurological conditions.
Who does BSO support?
Older Adults
All long-term care home residents in Ontario have access to behavioural support services. Depending where you live, BSO services may also be available in the community (i.e., private dwellings), in retirement homes, and in hospitals. To be eligible, individuals must be presenting with or at risk of responsive behaviours/personal expressions related to dementia, mental health, substance use, or other neurological conditions.
